Flood Stage Faith

It is not whether or not we are strong enough.
In fact we are looking at this thing all wrong.
It is not about our feelings as pertaining to the situation,
It is about what God is doing.
It is where God wants to bring us.
It is about Him being glorified in our lives.
He has reminds us that He never left and will never leave nor forsake us.
We are in a position for increase because we stand at the bank of the river and we must step in it! And cross through to receive the increase!
Joshua 1:3 (KJV) Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
The victory, the Land, is already designated for us.                                                                 It is up to us to possess it!
We shall not, like Moses, possess it thinking any old way.                                                                       We cannot think that it is going to be handed over to us!
No, in fact there are some prerequisites to meet.
Beside a relationship with God,
Besides communion with Him,
Beside hearing Him,
There is another prerequisite...
There is a practicum that must be completed.
Putting together all that God is and all that we know of Him to be, together in application.
In other words Faith!                                                                                                                                But this is a different level of Faith.
This is not the same as before... I was able to have the same old infantile thinking while being lead every "little" step of the way.
No! This is different . Moses represents all of the past. The old way of thinking, the past relationships, the effects of hurts...former language, former identity,  former comforts. Everything that is old has past away behold all things are NEW! 2 Corinthians 5:17
God said,as He spoke to Joshua, "It is dead!"
As He spoke to Joshua, He speaks to us, "Be Bold and courageous!"                                    We must stay in His Presences and hold on to His Word and the revelation of it! Hold on to the teachings and apply them!                                                                                                                 We must keep our focus on Him and not get distracted.
We must move in the strength of who He is and take courage in His plan for my life.                                      It is time to walk boldly, and not allow discouragement to be our companion!

Joshua 3:5,11,14-17 (KJV) And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the Lord will do wonders among you. [11] Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan. [14] And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; [15] And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) [16] That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. [17] And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
(Finally the whole nation was across the Jordan, and not one wet foot. Msg Bible)

As a leader under the direction of Joshua's command the priest had to carry the ark of the covenant into the Jordan while it was at its flood stage. The ark reminds me of The promise of God and His presence.Being a priest (1 Peter 2:9)  of The Lord, there are some floods that I too have to step into. That will cause me to operate at what has been identified as "flood stage" faith. It's the faith that is operation when things appear to be overwhelming, continual and constant in its flow . It is the barrier, the thing between where I am to where God Destined me to be. I have got to step into the flood in order for God to manifest Himself on my behalf. Flood Stage Faith is the kind of faith that will have you to move in "crazy" obedience that is connected to your breakthrough.
This stepping into the Jordan was necessary! They had to step into the water at flood stage that it may be understood that this was no one else but God was delivering them! Then the Waters were held up...

I may have to "steal away" to encourage myself! But I must maintain focus.
Holy Ghost is whispering , "Seek my presence and remain in my presences."
Nonessential matters have to be left behind. We must leave those things that seem important and comforting. We have to come out of the tent (our comfort). It was meant only to be a temporary shelter not a permanent dwelling place.  Leave it there and move forward and pursue the promises of God.

New Way of Thinking

Romans 12:2 (AMP) Do not be conformed to this world (this age), fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs, but be transformed (changed) by the entire renewal of your mind by its new ideals and its new attitude, so that you may prove for yourselves what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect in His sight for you.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

After having a long conversation with a relative the other evening, my eyes were open to something that they were never open to before! I get excited about how the Holy Spirit continues to love on me and reveal truth to me!

Have you ever realized just how simple and plan Truth really is? Like it’s true or it isn't. There are no grey areas. For instance the grass is green, the sky is blue, and the stove is hot. The truth that I discovered was just as simple.

What we can beginning to understand is, the more we come to know and understand what God says concerning us and believe it, we allow him, the Holy Spirit, to transform us even more.
The Scripture says,
John 8:31- 32 (KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Note that it says if you continue in my word. That simply means if we continue in the teaching of; studying and applying the teachings of the Truth, which is Jesus, then we may be considered a disciple, a true follower; true student. A good student should be as his teacher and reflect what he was taught (Luke 6:40).

It also says that you will know the truth and that truth is what sets us free. We, believers of today, come to know the truth by studying the Scriptures and receive sound biblical teaching. The truth becomes more obvious and we then are able to build a relationship with Him. The truth is the Lord and all his attributes (John 14:6, 17 and 15:26).

Therefore as we are taught and as we study the Word of God, our relationship with the Lord grows. This relationship, as with any healthy relationship will not only cause us to introspect but it will also have an effect on us. We should therefore begin to see change within ourselves. The self we ought to begin seeing is the transformed you and me.
